THE OKOTOKS IRISH DANCE ASSOCIATION

The Okotoks Irish Dance Association (OIDA) exists to support the dancers of Scoil Rince Bhriomhar (SRB) and their teachers in promoting a passion for Irish dance and culture in Okotoks and the surrounding area. As a registered non-profit organization, the OIDA:

- Provides for the recreation of members and promotes opportunities for friendly and social activites.
- Encourages and promotes amateur games and exercises.
- Provides a meeting place for the consideration and discussion of questions affecting the interests of the community.

OIDA supports Scoil Rince Bhriomhar through involvement with competitive and recreational dance, Irish culture and socializing. Our vision and mission is closely aligned with that of Scoil Rince Bhriomhar to promote a natural sharing of resources and initiatives. OIDA's current initiative include:

- The development / updating of the Parent Handbook
- The organization of our annual March Ceili
- The organization of the Used Shoe Program
- The organization of the School Dress Program

To achieve our goals and mission, we value respect, transparency, fairness, integrity, innovation and mutual benefit in relation at SRB. All families with dancers in the Okotoks and Calgary SRB classes are required to join the OIDA for a nominal annual fee. THE LETHBRIDGE IRISH DANCE ASSOCIATION

The Lethbridge Irish Dance Association (LIDA) actively supports the students of Scoil Rince Bhriomhar residing in Lethbridge and surrounding areas. Like the OIDA, we support our dancers through involvement in competitive and recreational dance, fundraising, promoting Irish culture and socializing. We work closely with the Bhriomhar instructors and the OIDA to benefit our dancers. We currently have the following initiatives underway:

- The development / updating of the Parent Handbook
- The organization of the Used Shoe Program
- The organization of the School Dress Program
