"bhriomhar" (adj.): dynamic, energetic, lively, vigorous

Welcome to the digital home of the Bhriomhar School of Irish Dance. As our Gaelic name implies, we strive to develop Irish dancers with a love of this dynamic dance form. Our school offers classes for children aged 5 and up in Okotoks, High River and Lethbridge, Alberta.

The Bhriomhar School provides professional, comprehensive and affordable instruction with an emphasis upon fun, fitness, healthy competiton and show sets similar to those seen in Riverdance and Lord of the Dance. Our dancers perform at a variety of venues culminating in our annual concert, and compete at local and regional feiseanna. Our school is actively supported by the Okotoks Irish Dance Association.

Our classes are taught by Okotoks residents Alison Hampshire, TCRG, and her sister Cait Lottis. Both are previous two time Western Canadian Irish Dance Champions and regularly qualified for the North American and World Championships of Irish Dance. As champion dancers and experienced teachers, Ali and Cait provide a safe, positive, energetic and culturally enriched learning environment that builds confidence and poise. In addition, we are delighted to announce that Bhriomhar has taken bronze in the annual Western Wheel's Best of the Foothills reader's choice award for "Best Place to Take a Dance Class!"

The Bhriomhar School is accredited by the Irish Dancing Commission in Dublin, Ireland, and proud to be based in this vibrant community. Please visit our Classes page or call 403 - 700 - 4177 for details.
